here's some history beats your character might know to figure out how ppl Felt about his Presence. i think part of the reason i've been having trouble with bobby is he tries to stay somewhat unmoored and i'm hoping sam's vibe gives me something more to work with, so i want to know about anything else you think you might want with him. 💜!
an x-man in 2018: sam was recruited (read: lied to and manipulated) by donald pierce, a member of the hellfire club who wanted to kidnap charles and use crazy tech to get all the secrets from his brain. [sam only knew they were apprehending "a bad man."] pierce's crew was all tough-ass military dudes and this 16yo mutant. the x-men came to charles's rescue and no thoughts were stolen — in the process, VOLUNTEER was the one who kicked sam's ass. don't worry, he definitely deserved it.
also 2018: shortly after this, sam showed up at the school on xavier's invitation. he was V E R Y apologetic & remorseful. he enrolled as a student for one whole awkward week before he dropped out and returned to kentucky.
2021: he showed back up at the school, this time enrolling for good and with his younger sister paige. he took classes at the same level as last time he was here.

...if you don't mind Sam's ass-kicking involving some emotional gut punches along with the literal ones, I'd love to give the Hellions-New Mutants rivalry a lil' nod and take this for Manuel.

- he's a good pilot and Will jet you around if requested. - he also teaches flying, and subs (if you want the kids to have a break, get remy. if you don't, get sam.)
